Course Catalog

John Wilson Academy is dedicated to supporting all students to graduate from high school ready to move on to college and an eventual career. Our graduation requirements exceed specifications in Maryland State Department of Education regulations to align with Maryland college and career readiness standards. John Wilson Academy students are required to take core math, science, and English courses all four years.

During the scheduling process, each student reviews their teacher recommendations and has an individual conference with their school counselor. The school counselor's advising is based upon teacher recommendations and the student's interests and plans for after high school. Recommendations concerning sequential courses are based upon the student's ability and past achievement. Parents and guardians are welcome to be part of this process at any point.
